About us

Welcome to Clevedon Cricket Club. Situated on top of a
seaside town, Clevedon Cricket Club is a friendly, family orientated club with
excellent social and playing facilities.

Established in 1874, the club offers beautifully picturesque
views of the Mendips and Bristol Channel from its ground at Dial Hill. The
playing area is widely regarded as one of the best in the region, demonstrated
by the wicket being voted the best in the league for two consecutive seasons.

The clubhouse is fantastically equipped with a balcony and
recently extended patio area. It provides a perfect venue for functions, BBQs
or simply a relaxing beer on a sunny weekend afternoon.

Clevedon Cricket Club currently fields four senior teams and
the first and second XI’s both play in the Bristol and Somerset Division of the
West of England League. Our club is ECB
accredited and is also an ECB Focus Club; ensuring child safety and coaching
standards among other things.

In addition to this, our junior section offers Under 11,
Under 13 and Under 15 age groups all of whom compete in the North Somerset
Junior cricket league. The junior
section has aided the development of a number of county representatives
throughout the age-groups, along with district and regional players. Training
for the junior sides takes place at 5.30 on Fridays at Dial Hill.

Our Club Captain is John Bachelor, who has been in
this role for four seasons. The club boasts a number of high-profile ex-players
including Andrew Caddick, Geraint Jones, Mark Greatbatch, Mark Douglas, Rob
Cunliffe and Peter McGlashan.

More recently, another former player Kyle Abbott, was
selected to play for South Africa A, and, following another successful domestic
season, earned himself an IPL contract at the Kings XI Punjab.

The club’s current professional is ex-Gloucestershire player
Tim Hancock. Tim has been with the club for three seasons and has topped the
batting statistics in each of those seasons. He played for Gloucestershire for
15 years and was awarded with a benefit year. Tim is now the Head of Cricket at
Filton College cricket academy in Bristol as well as coaching the age-group
teams at his former county.

The senior sides train on Tuesday evenings at Dial Hill,
commencing at 6:00pm. These sessions is taken by Club Coach Piers Mcbride jnr, who is an ECB Level 3 Coach

As well as possessing a competitive and hard-working nature
on the pitch, we also have an inviting social environment and a depth of
character that can only be experienced. With regular social events throughout
the year, we hope to serve up many wonderful summer nights; regardless of the
weather we are granted.

Our club is open to players and non-players of all ages and
abilities and strives to ensure that each visitor has a pleasant and enjoyable
experience at Dial Hill, we hope yours is too.
